Math Recovery® Specialist provides a deep level of professional development and support through the US Math Recovery Council®. The course includes intensive experiences through instructional cycles, ongoing reflection, and fine-tuning of teaching. This results in a high level of expertise with Math Recovery® teaching to support all students in a small group or one-on-one capacity. Math Recovery® Specialist is offered face-to-face or virtual in a two-part series:

Math Recovery® Specialist is a rigorous opportunity to cultivate highly-specialized knowledge and teaching experiences in foundational math content, assessment, and instruction. The course contains collegial team meetings, active work with students, independent learning activities, and one-on-one support from a Math Recovery® facilitator.
Through the intentionality and depth of this professional development, the Math Recovery® Specialist is able to precisely diagnose students’ levels of understanding and design instruction to advance students’ mathematical thinking in both small group and one-one settings.
